#3, From a RDF site Installer from the 3rd RRU (email 110219): "I was working on a communication van by a hanger at Tan San Nhut air field when Captain Hyatt and the Marines of the 1st Composite Radio Unit arrived on 8 January 1962. I had just arrived myself a couple days before. Within two weeks, I was assigned to set up a DF site at Pleiku. I stayed with the Marines in Pleiku until May(1962) when I was reassigned to install another DF site in Phu Bai. There were still no Marines in Phu Bai when I departed on or about 10 July 1962."
